Respect, safety and responsible access

Safeguarding

A contact route that protects dignity and privacy while making the limits of a public channel clear.

Purpose and responsibilities

Public enquiries are routed by purpose through the contact form. Passports, health records and other sensitive identity documents must not be sent through that form. The public contact channel is not an emergency service and does not publish case files or personal identities. The public token-checking form has been withdrawn. Questions about a document may be sent through the official contact route without attaching sensitive documents. A concern about safety or conduct can be submitted through the relevant contact route so that it reaches the responsible recipient without publishing personal details.

This area explains its mandate, current public pathways and the responsible organisational unit. Published programmes identify their purpose and status; concepts under development are not presented as active services.
