Hegumen Daniel (Davit Kiknadze)

Office of the Founder

Hegumen Daniel (Davit Kiknadze)

Hegumen Daniel (Davit Kiknadze) is the Founder and Spiritual Leader of PDP CARITAS within the wider international institutional framework from which a number of educational, humanitarian, cultural and charitable organizations have developed. His role provides founding continuity, institutional vision, spiritual guidance and long-term orientation, while executive administration and organizational implementation are entrusted to the respective executive structures and the Office of the Director-General. His founding approach emphasizes the development of lawful, sustainable and human-centered institutions committed to education, humanitarian responsibility, cultural cooperation, peaceful coexistence and service to human dignity.

From institutional vision to enduring structures

Hegumen Daniel has played a central founding role in the establishment and development of the institutional framework within which PDP CARITAS and a number of related international organizations have developed.

His responsibilities as Founder are distinct from the day-to-day executive administration of those organizations.

The Founder’s role provides continuity between the original purpose of the organizations and their long-term institutional development.

  • Institutional vision
  • Establishment and continuity
  • Long-term institutional orientation
  • Spiritual guidance
  • Development of humanitarian and educational purpose
  • Protection of foundational values
  • Encouragement of international cooperation
  • Stewardship of the wider institutional mission

A spiritual responsibility distinct from executive administration

Hegumen Daniel holds the ecclesiastical title of Hegumen. Within our organizational framework, his spiritual leadership provides continuity of values, institutional purpose and ethical orientation.

This role remains clearly distinguishable from the civil, administrative, operational and executive functions of the organizations.

Spiritual leadership does not replace the executive governance of those organizations. Instead, it provides continuity of purpose and values while executive responsibilities remain assigned to the designated executive authorities.

Clear separation between founding leadership and executive management

A central principle of our governance structure is the distinction between founding and spiritual leadership and executive administration.

This structure preserves continuity of founding leadership while establishing clear and identifiable responsibility for executive decisions, administration, international coordination and institutional implementation.

A network of distinct organizations

The wider institutional framework includes separately constituted organizations operating within different European jurisdictions and areas of activity.

These organizations are always presented as distinct legal and institutional entities. Their relationship within the wider framework is not described as though they were departments of a single company.

Where supported by the respective organizational records, each page identifies the organization, country or jurisdiction, Founder, applicable legal representative, documented Director-General or Chief Executive Officer and a direct route to the organization record.

Registration numbers, fiscal codes, registered legal names and addresses are maintained on each organization’s own Legal & Registration Information section.
